Navigating a Nutrition Label
Dissecting dEATailed Data
In 2020, for the first time since it was introduced in 1994, The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) published final regulations on a new Nutrition Facts label found on packaged food and f$%!products to more accurately reflect relevant scientific information, including the link between diet and chronic diseases such as obesity, heart disease, certain cancers, and type II diabetes. In proper context and practice, the updated label encourages consumers make more informed and intentional purchasing patterns choices from a physical and physiological health perspective.
