Recipe: Simple Salmon Burger

Spoiler Alert: this super simple salmon burger recipe contains not a trace of dill or smidgeon of dijon.

Yields 2 Servings


  • 1 can wild sockeye salmon (I love Wild Planet!)
  • 1/2 large lemon, juiced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp almond (or coconut) flour
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • dash of salt + pep

Optional flavor add-ins: smoked paprika, chili powder, oregano, nutritional yeast


  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees and line a baking tray with parchment paper
  2. In a large bowl, thoroughly combine all ingredients
  3. Form combined mixture into 2 patties and arrange on parchment lined baking tray. Brush the tops of the patties with just a little bit of EVOO for optimal golden crisp.
  4. Bake for 20 minutes and finish off with a quick 2 minute broil

Serving Suggestions

  • With a side of cauliflower mash and roasted green veggies
  • As a salad topper
  • On a portobello bun with roasted sweet potato fries
